Fish, Meat, Poultry
For safety and quality refrigerate fresh fish, meat and poultry as soon as purchased. Store promptly fresh meat, such as roasts, chops and steaks, in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days. Ground beef, pork and stew meat will keep for only 1 to 2 days.
All poultry products, such as chicken and turkey, whole or pieces, can be stored for one to two days.
Fresh fish and shell fish can be stored for a period of 1 to 2 days.
If you do not plan to use these food products within the recommended period of time, wrap well and freeze them immediately for optimum safety and quality.
