The mission of the Missouri Master Gardener Extension Program is “helping others learn to grow.” The Master Gardener program provides in depth horticultural training to individuals who are then able to volunteer their time applying what they have learned to help others in their communities to learn about gardening and environmental education.

Master Gardener - become part of a group of volunteers who educate and transform the community by:

§  Community beautification projects

§  Restoring landscapes to their natural splendor.

§  Helping friends and neighbors appreciate the natural environment in their backyards.

§  Education of local youth groups.

After the training, you will receive a certificate for your training and be well on your way to becoming a full Master Gardener.

You will become a full Master Gardener after you complete 20 hours of volunteer time with your local chapter.  At that point you will receive your official Master Gardener name badge.

Future opportunities for informational sessions will be available each month to learn more about horticulture resource needs.
